WEST BROM VS CHELSEA 1-0 HIGHLIGHTS 3/3/2012 HD

West Brom have moved into the top half of the table following their first Premier League win over Chelsea thanks to Gareth McAuley’s late effort at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

West Brom had the better of the first-half as they continuously pressed high up the pitch, affording Chelsea next to no time on the ball, but the visitors were holding firm and Petr Cech was on form. The pressure on Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas continued to mount this afternoon following his side's 1-0 defeat away at West Bromwich Albion.

Visiting Chelsea created the better of the chances in the opening 45 minutes, but they were unable to breach Ben Foster's net.

First Juan Mata was denied by the England international, then Didier Drogba also saw his effort blocked by the goalkeeper.

Daniel Sturridge had Chelsea's best chance before the break, but he sent his left footed effort wide of goal from 12 yards out in the 42nd minute.Well I don't know that was pretty bad you guys. It shouldn't have been, of course - although West Bromwich Albion had a lot of the possession Chelsea had the better of the chances right up until Gareth McAuley scored off the corner. Daniel Sturridge is by and large to blame for the loss, with the England striker spurning two absolutely gilt-edged opportunities before finally getting yanked off the pitch by an exasperated Andre Villas-Boas.

And we're back for the second half. Man City are up 1-0, can they extend their lead, or will Bolton come back into this and give the league leaders a real headache? The Trotters have certainly had chances of their own.
HALF TIME here at the Etihad Stadium, and Manchester City should really have had this one sewn up by now. Truth be told, they could have won it in the first five minutes after a succession of chances. Adam Bogdan has been in good form, but Mario

Balotelli could have had a hat-trick. A Gretar Steinsson own goal has given them a 1-0 lead, but Bolton have looked pretty decent in attack, and Joe Hart has been a busy boy so far this afternoon. Ryo Miyachi in particular has looked particularly useful on the wing for the Trotters, so it should be a decent second half in Manchester.

Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal match

Liverpool nearly pay dearly for that miss as Arsenal go up the field and nearly score themselves through Walcott. The Red are grateful to the reactions of Reina that they aren't behind as Walcott's effort rebounded off two defenders before the keeper could gather the ball.

How Liverpool aren't leading in this game is anyone's guess as they've just spurned yet another great chance to take the lead. The Reds had a good spell of possession in the Arsenal half and Adam slid a lovely reverse pass to Kuyt to set up a crossing opportunity. The Dutchman delivered a perfect ball in, beating the Gunners defence and all Martin Kelly had to do was tap the ball in to score but he fluffed his opportunity missing his kick.

Danger for Liverpool as Arsenal attack through Tomas Rosicky who puts the ball into a threatening area across the face of goal and Jamie Carragher has to be at his best to glance the ball away from danger as Van Persie and Benayoun were lurking.
